What is Puerto Galera?
Puerto Galera (meaning "Port of Galleons") is a municipality in the province of Oriental Mindoro, Philippines. Located at the northern tip of Mindoro Island, it lies just across the Verde Island Passage from Batangas on Luzon — about a 2-hour journey from Manila.
Declared a UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserve in 1977, Puerto Galera is one of the most biodiverse marine areas in the world, home to over 1,700 species of fish and 800 species of coral — earning it the nickname "Amazon of the Ocean."
About GaleraLink
GaleraLink is Puerto Galera's first digital boat-booking and ticketing platform. Built to reduce the chaos of manual ticketing at busy ports, GaleraLink digitizes the entire passenger experience — from booking to boarding — with real-time queue management and digital confirmations.
Designed in collaboration with the Puerto Galera Tourism Office and local boat operators at Minolo Port, Sabang Port, and Muelle. GaleraLink supports Filipino, English, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese — serving both domestic and international travelers.

GaleraLink was built and is maintained by a small passionate team in partnership with Puerto Galera's local government and boat operators' association.
Getting to Puerto Galera
The most common route is from Manila: take a bus or private van to Batangas Port (~2 hrs), then board an RORO or passenger ferry to Calapan or Muelle (~1.5 hrs). From Sabang, pump boats operate from Batangas Pier directly.
From Batangas Pier, multiple ferry operators run daily trips to Puerto Galera's Sabang Port and Muelle. Montenegro Lines and other operators depart as early as 6AM. Last trip is typically 5PM.
